Newark, NJ - A local pothole on I-95 wants to know: if the IRS is abolished, who will fix the roads running through New Jersey? At a press conference, the pothole had this to say, “They’ve been trying to fix the roads for ten years now, if we abolish the IRS, who’s going to step up and fill in my pothole brothers?”
After taking a few questions from the media, the pothole was approached by a concerned citizen, who offered to fix him and his fellow bumps in the road free of charge. “But you’re not from the government, how would you be able to fix it?” said the pothole in response.
At publishing time, it appeared that several citizens were busy working to fix their local roads. A shocked pothole was overheard saying, “Huh, looks like we didn’t need the government to solve our problems after all. Maybe the fix to America’s crumbling infrastructure was the friends we made along the way.”
