SVB Headquarters, Santa Clara, CA - A seasoned investment banker was busy clearing out his desk after being laid off from yet another large bank when he discovered his Blackberry phone from the 2008 financial crisis in his desk.
“Wow, you’ve been here this whole time little buddy?” said the banker as he carefully held his phone and reminisced about the good old days. “Man, we used to sell so many subprime mortgage loans together, who’d have thought that we’d be right back where we started more than a decade later?” said the banker to his phone as he shoved everything else into a box and started walking out of the building.
At publishing time, the same investment banker could be seen waving to his friends and saying, “See you all at the next bailout, maybe next time we can help cripple the dairy industry.”
