IRS veteran recounts PTSD of auditing $600 venmo charge for “Rachel’s Bachelorette bash” in Nashville

Washington, DC - With a comfort blanket draped around him, a veteran tax auditor was seen relaying his stories about life on the front lines of the tax war. Being one of the 87,000 IRS tax agents hired to step up enforcement, this soldier was likely on the front lines for more than 6 months.

“You go into this line of work thinking you’ll make a difference, maybe take down a bad guy who was defrauding the federal government,” said the agent while wiping tears from his eyes. “In reality all you’re doing is auditing Bachelorette parties in Nashville… Rachel’s Bachelorette bash was a particularly nasty experience… none of the girls wanted to pay each other back for the Air BnB, it was a slaughter.”

“There were so many pink cowboy hats…” continued the weary tax veteran. “I’m so glad they’re repealing the policy, we needed to bring our boys home.”
