U.S. Treasury Department cancels release of “Biden Bucks” after they became worthless because of inflation

Washington, DC - A spokesman for the United States Department of Treasury issued a statement detailing why they were abandoning plans for releasing a virtual currency called “Biden Bucks” on Thursday evening.

“You know, at first we thought it would be fun to have Biden’s face on our new U.S. currency, but after record inflation hit and rendered the Biden Bucks worthless, the Treasury has decided to go in a different direction,” said the spokesman.

“We are currently exploring other avenues for printing new money, including creating ‘DeSantis Dollars’ that are only legal tender if there’s not a children’s drag show in the immediate vicinity,” continued the spokesman.
