Twitter employees enraged that they can’t censor speech after Elon Musk acquisition

San Francisco, CA - “You’re fired, you’re fired, you’re fired, you’re cool”, said Elon Musk as he toured Twitter’s headquarters in downtown San Francisco on Wednesday. “Hope you kept your resume up-to-date,” he continued as he got a coffee with some employees who will soon be out of a job.

“It’s just not fair,” one soon-to-be-fired employee was quoted, “you think you have a good job censoring free speech online, and one day some billionaire philanthropist rolls in and says that he’s going to let Trump back on Twitter - and boom! You’re out of a job.” Employees of the online forum were quick to make a list of demands for Elon Musk as the business mogul was finalizing the $44 billion buyout of the tech company.

“The reason I acquired Twitter is because it is important for the future of civilization to have a common digital town square,” said Musk when asked about the future of the online platform. “Also I want Trump back.” Musk’s acquisition of Twitter comes on the heels of Ye (formerly Kanye West) buying Parler, a conservative competitor to Twitter, only a few weeks prior.
