Athens, GA - Suiting up in his old Minnesota Vikings jersey, Herschel Walker was excited to take the field again after the Georgia Senate race went to a runoff following the Tuesday midterm elections. “Yea man, I’m just ready to give it my all out here,” said Walker when asked if he was prepared to take the gridiron again.
The former professional football player was seen carrying smelling salts as he did wind sprints down the sideline and eyed his opponent, Raphael Warnock, across the field. “Wait, I thought this decision was going to Georgia voters,” said Warnock.
The Georgia runoff is scheduled for December 6th, but Walker said that he’s been lifting heavy weights in preparation to “crush” his opponent for weeks now. “Warnock is a tough opponent, but have you seen my quads? I’m jacked, and I believe the good people of Georgia deserve someone who's jacked to represent them in the Senate.”
