"We've looked everywhere," said White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre. "We've checked the closets, under the beds, and even in the Oval Office desk. But he's nowhere to be found."
Sources say that the President was last seen playing hide-and-seek with his granddaughter, Maisy, but she got tired and went to bed. Now, it seems like the President is the only one left playing the game.
"I'm starting to worry about him," said Vice President Kamala Harris. "He's been gone for hours. I hope he's not lost."
Some have speculated that the President is using the game of hide-and-seek as a way to avoid dealing with the pressing issues facing the country.
"He's probably hiding from the economy," said one Republican senator. "Or maybe he's hiding from the war in Ukraine."
Others believe that the President is simply having some fun.
"He's a kid at heart," said one White House aide. "He just loves to play hide-and-seek."
