Democrat Representative Kweisi Mfume and others called for violence against President Donald Trump and DOGE leader Elon Musk to prevent them from cutting government spending.
Mfume’s remarks came during a rally held outside the Social Security Administration headquarters to protest actions by DOGE and President Trump’s efforts to downsize the government.
The news comes as Democrats continue to express outrage over proposed cuts to Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid by DOGE.
Other Democrats attending the rally included Maryland Senators Chris Van Hollen and Angela Alsobrooks, as well as Johnny Olszewski and Sarah Elfreth.
